Michael Philip Curtis

Bachelor of Architecture 2004 from Auburn University. Lead Designer and Project Manager for nine years with Architects Jeffrey Dungan and Louis Nequette of Birmingham, Ala., Michael worked closely with multiple types of clients, designing and managing select custom residential, master planning and multi-family projects located throughout the country, from concept to completion, amassing multiple local and national architectural project awards for both firms.

In 2010, Michael began to explore his own questions about design, Architecture and construction, by starting a design-build practice, while also teaching high school art and a college Architecture sketch/dessin studio at Auburn University.

MPC Studio is focused on designing high-performance custom homes and private estates located throughout the Southeast, Pacific Northwest, and Inter-mountain West, pursuing intentional design, rooted in history with a minimal and timeless attention to detail.

MICHAEL IS KNOWN FOR HIS ACUTE DESIGN Sensibilities and analog approach to design. DRAWING INFLUENCE FROM THE simple and honest acts of necessity and their story. inspirations found in the AGRICULTURAL AND UTILITARIAN vernacular, BLURRING THE LINE BETWEEN INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR SPACE.

Michael approaches each of his projects today with the same curious wonder he did growing up in his home state of Alabama. Inspirations and experiences from his early life and adventurous spirit resonate throughout his personality and work.
